Wool Applique Pattern Kit “Wandering the Back Roads” spring wall hanging geese saltbox house barn springtime

Early spring along the back roads of the countryside. Winter is finally gone by … the days are getting longer and warmer … the shy leaves in the trees are such a tender green … and the silly geese decide it’s the perfect day for a stroll … right down the middle of the road!

Loving spring as much as I do, the creation of this design, from conception to the last stitch, was pure indulgence. Once it’s complete and hanging on your wall, this gorgeously unique wool applique project will take up 36″ x 18″.

The pattern is packed into a clear 9″ x 12″ zip lock bag. It includes a cover page with three color photographs of the completed project, a page of detailed instructions, nine pages of pattern elements, and a line drawing of the entire wall hanging, comprising ten pages, which you’will trim as instructed, and tape together, referencing the layout. Also included is a page with all the fabric requirements.

If you are also purchasing the kit, it will include (along with the pattern) a 36″ x 18″ piece of brushed cotton flannel foundation fabric. All the wool fabric for the sky, hills, and foreground, and all the other elements pictured (the clouds, trees, geese, crocuses, houses, and barn) are hand dyed and felted/fulled by me, according to my own “recipes” for all the various colors.
