The inspiration for this design came from the lid of a very small, antique letter box … a very curious, hand painted design in orange and yellow.
Letters were once the only way of staying in touch with loved ones far away … and “far away,” back then, could be as little as 40 miles! When I saw this little box, my imagination decided it had been carefully carried along on a wagon-trail journey west, filled with letters of good wishes from those left behind, at home.
Your completed runner will measure 21″ x 12″, and will look perfect in many settings … primitive, folk art, Mission Oak, country, Civil War … anything historic or antique.
Your pattern is packed into a clear 9″ x 12″ zip lock bag. Its contents include a cover page with a color photograph of the completed project, a page of detailed instructions, a page of pattern elements, and a full-sized line drawing of the runner comprised of three pages you will tape together, referencing the layout.
