Yes, little one! … You DID used to be a blizzard! And someday in the future, you will water the soil underneath where you now stand looking up at the falling snow, which will help bring forth flowers and dandelions and green grass in the spring! But for today, you are just the cutest thing … and your “parents” stand amazed and dumbfounded at your infant brilliance.
This many-layered wool applique wall hanging measures 13 1/2″ tall by 14 1/2″ wide (not including hanging tabs) when completed, and includes a fair sampling of embroidery embellishment which brings it into an entirely different dimension. The fifteen embroidered snowflakes are comprised of the following very basic stitches: chain stitch; lazy daisy, french knot; and straight stitch. The details of the family’s clothes include those plus two more: fly stitch and wheel stitch.
Whether you choose the PDF e-pattern format, or the printed-packaged-and-mailed-to-you format, your pattern is comprised of 14 pages: full-color cover page; additional full-color page with close-up details of some of the embroidery embellishment; two pages of comprehensively detailed instructions; four pages which comprise a full-size line drawing of the design; five pages with full-size line drawings of every element in the design; and a page outlining all the fabric requirements.
If you purchase the kit along with the pattern, you will receive all the felted/hand-dyed 100% fabric to complete the project as pictured. Embroidery floss, and fabric with which to back the project when it is finished, are not included, as these both tend to be chosen according to the preference of the individual stitcher.
