Aspects of both Primitive and Jacobean design define “Jacobean Autumn” … as well as an indulgence in a great deal of embroidery embellishment. All combined bring you a nine page pattern (and yes, kits are available, also) for a 25 1/2″ x 12″ table runner in richly sophisticated autumn colors.
Although they are NOT included in the kit, these four colors of DMC Perle No. 8 are shown below so that you can obtain and use the exact same colors I used for all the embroidery embellishment in the original runner.
And … just in case embroidery embellishment is not your thing, this runner was designed to look lovely without it, as you can see here.
Your pattern is packed into a clear 9″ x 12″ zip lock bag. Its contents include a cover page with full-color photographs of the completed project, a second full-color page which provides you with detailed reference as to the embroidery embellishment, a page of detailed instructions, two pages of pattern elements, and two pages of line drawings showing the full-sized layout of the ends and the sides of the runner, with and without embroidery embellishment , and a page listing the fabric requirements for the project.
If you order the pattern/kit combination, you will also receive the coat-weight black wool fabric for the underside background, the subtle gray-plaid background onto which you will applique the design elements of the runner, and all the wool fabrics for the designs at both ends and sides. Floss and backing fabric are not included, as these are usually very much by preference of the stitcher.
