This design came to mind in early February, in what was still the “the bleak midwinter.” Winter can never be over too soon for me, so to try to hurry it along I indulged in the creation of this design many weeks before anything even thought about blooming. For those of you who are like me, just dying for the sound of that very first robin chirp, this is for you.
There’s quite a bit to this very detailed pattern, which finishes out to 20″ x 12″, but what a lot of fun it is to stitch up, especially the dandelions. Dandelions in “real life” are so unappreciated, but I can hardly think of anything more cheerful than a whole yard full of smiley, happy, sunshiny-yellow dandelions in the spring! Talk about making my heart sing!
Your pattern is packed into a clear 9″ x 12″ recloseable bag, the contents of which include a cover page with two color photographs of the completed project, two pages of detailed instructions, six pages of pattern elements, a list of fabric requirements, and a full-size line drawing of the entire runner, comprising six pages, which you will need to trim and/or tape together, referencing the layout.
If you are also purchasing the kit, it will include the black wool background fabric and all the wool fabric for the tulips, dandelions, and violets, as well.
